hot take: immigrants don’t need to love this country or swear loyalty to it to “deserve” to live here. they don’t need to work harder than anyone else, they can sit at home if they want, and they’re allowed to take full advantage of whatever healthcare or education any citizen has access to. they pay the same taxes, they own the same property, they created support systems and histories and entire lives here. that’s all that should matter.

there is no more anti-american a thug than a red-hatted anglo anchor great-great-grandbaby. their ancestors formed huge organized gangs to harass and rob the lawful residents of this country into near-extinction. they made a virtue of slavery and genocide, and passed the stolen wealth of their conquest down to each new generation of lazy, godless parasites. egregious tax-evading welfare leeches sucking the country dry and giving nothing back but material for late night monologues on television.

the latest generation of said parasites are still calling refugees and immigrants dangerous, lawless, lazy and subhuman, but historically, they have zero problem with any of these qualities.  it’s just that they have already called dibs on all of them.

if these fuckers can be Americans, so can anyone who has less blood on their hands and less loathing for their fellow human beings. the bar for being a deserving American is so low they had to bring in special drills to dig the hole to put it in.
